Kong handles 375 billion API calls a day. That’s a lot of API calls. And that means there are a lot of you around the world using Kong.
From San Francisco to Dubai, Kong has 81 Meetup groups around the globe with more than 10,000 members. Join one to meet fellow Kong users and network, talk shop, and stay on top of the latest Kong-related tech.

April 2023 Kong meetups
There’s never been a better time to attend your first meetup! You could get pizza (or tapas or drinks, depending on which meetup you attend). But you will definitely learn loads more about Kong and meet other awesome people from our community of developers, customers, partners, and Kong enthusiasts.

Brussels (April 12)
We’re thrilled to invite you to our first in-person meetup in Brussels for 2023 in collaboration with Positive Thinking Company.
We’ve taken extra care to ensure delicious food and drinks before and after the presentation. During this meetup, expect to see Deepak Grewal (Senior Solutions Engineer at Kong) and Akshay Jha (Senior Solutions Architect at Positive Thinking Company) joining forces to deliver an exciting presentation on Unlocking the Power of APIs: Using Kong Gateway to Overcome Common API Challenges. This talk will include:
Exploration of the basics of APIs, their importance in modern software development, and how to incorporate them into your organization
A comparison between API gateway vs. proxy
How API gateways like Kong can help offload boilerplate tasks and optimize workflows through the use of plugins or CI/CD pipelines
A real-world scenario about an organization leveraging Kong to expose their APIs
